Welcome!

I am Mishio Yamanaka, a history graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill.

This website is a digital showcase of my study about the 1877 register of the Fillmore School, one of the desegregated schools in New Orleans in the 1870s. By using geo-spatial and networking analysis tools, I examine the impact of school desegregation and resegregation in New Orleans during Reconstruction.
